Le A Don Kennels ( Lee-Ah'-Don) Started raising Colorado Golden Retrievers in 1978. We were amazed to find the Golden Retriever Breed so intelligent and easy to train. Our first Colorado Golden Retrievers were, Kenosha and Christy. Kenosha was a Medium Dark Golden Retriever, and Christy was a Medium Dark Golden Retriever. Colorado being a great place to raise and enjoy the Golden Retriever Breed. We cannot even begin to explain how much joy our Generations of Colorado Golden Retrievers has given us.
Your first Golden Retriever we hope will be a very enjoyable experience as our first Dark Golden Retrievers. Colorado being a place with abundant rivers, streams, lakes, and hiking trails. Colorado Golden Retrievers love to blaze the trails of Colorado. Golden Retrievers love the water. It's not unusual to find a Colorado Golden Retriever setting a pretty good pace retrieving any toy. A tennis racket and a bucket full of tennis balls, makes for a fun afternoon.

Over many years of raising Colorado Golden Retrievers, we have never found our Golden Retrievers to be anything but ready for fun, service, and great companionship. We hope your experiences will be as fulfilling as ours have been.

Summer, in the late 1970's our Colorado Golden Retrievers enjoy camping espically refreshment time. Actually, our Colorado Golden Retrievers were responsible for much of our outdoor activities. Every Weekend that would allow, we would find ourselves hiking, camping, or strolling with our Golden Retrievers, Colorado Trails.
Weekends, still find us hiking in the Aspens with our Golden Retrievers. Colorado is a great place to enjoy the outdoors with a Golden Retriever.
